Machining

Key to providing our customers’ with the best possible service is the ability to fully machine the castings we manufacture in house. Skaigh has invested in its CNC capability having a combination of Mazak CNC lathes with live tooling, CNC mills and two Mazak VTC Series II Vertical Machining Centres, one with a 48 tool magazine, both can be fitted with a 4th Axis.

The latest investment has been an Mazak VTC 300C-2 with 4th axes. Investment in people and the future generation is key to the success of a company. To help this aim our machine shop runs an apprenticeship scheme in association with South Devon College.
