Die & Tooling Manufacture & Maintenance

As an independent, family-run business, Skaigh Engineering has over 50 years' experience toolmaking and die manufacturing and have a fully equipped onsite tool room. We have CNC machining capabilities that allow us to manufacture tooling up to 1m2 in size from 2D drawings or CAD files.

From single to multi-cavity dies we can manufacture dies for all types of industry and understand that tooling is an investment for our customers. As well as building dies in-house we also carry out preventative maintenance to keep your tooling in the best condition possible. This means that if you need a new batch of casting we are able to offer the shortest lead times possible.

Whether refurbishing inherited dies or creating new cast iron tooling we offer a complete die making, tooling and maintenance service. We can create 2D drawings and then use CAD files to create the die design complete with runners, risers, vents and feeders. These files can then be downloaded to our CNC machines to manufacture the dies.

Die making is a very specific and important genre of tool making and is used to make dies for production and molten casting. Tool making is necessary to cast new components and parts for a wide range of industries.

As well as the manufacture and refurbishment of dies and tooling we also offer our customers a full machining service for all castings that we manufacture in-house. Over the years we have invested in state id the art inspection equipment, CNC capabilities and have live tooling lathes, CNC mills and 4 axis vertical machining centres.
